How do i use american classics/american crew fiber on my hair?

I bought the american classics fiber cream (blue sticker) from sally's beauty salon (alternative to american crew fiber) and i have no clue on how to use it. I scoop some out, but its so stiff that i cant rub it in onto my hair or just do anything with it. It feels like cutting off a piece of stick soap and trying to work with that.

How do i use american classics/american crew fiber on my hair?

I use American Crew Fiber Molding Creme also (the one in the hockey puck shaped container, same one, right?). What I do is use a pea-sized amount of the creme, rub it between my fingers so it is easy to put in my hair (you don't want lumps of stuff in your hair), and then work it into my hair. It'll turn kinda sticky when you rub it between your hands but that's okay.
