I bought a thing to heat wax to use on facial hair and i tried twice and can't get it to work!?

I wax my upper lip and decided that it would be easier to do it myself rather than go to a salon every few weeks. So, i followed the directions and melted the wax. Then, i put it on my upper lip and i put the piece of fabric on it. It seemed like it was working fine, but the wax just wouldn't stick to the fabric or the hair. It seemed like it wasn't drying so I just had to keep washing off the wax and it didn't do anything. Does anybody know what to do?

I've used Wax Strips from Walmart and had great success with those on removing unwanted hair. I gave up on the messy stuff after having the types of problems your describing.

Try using the cotton strips, or try the hard body wax you just peel it off there is no strips needed. Also make sure your hair is long enough.

Before you start waxing check it on you finger for consistency as well as the temperature. Before applying this mixture with a butter knife, cool it by blowing air over it. Use a clean cloth or any waxing strip; pull it in the opposite direction of the hair growth. Once done, apply ice as well as astringent over the area to tighten the pores.

Sugaring is a very old method of hair removal. With change in time this technique of hair removal is back in fashion. Its popularity has increased tremendously. You can try this recipe by using one cup sugar, juice of half a lemon, one fourth cup honey, Molasses, very little and cornstarch. Mix lemon, sugar, molasses and honey in bowl and heat it in the microwave for 2-4 minutes to get a smooth consistency. You can do the same by keeping it on the gas on a low flame. Dust the area with cornstarch before applying the mixture. This helps in smooth removal of the hair. Use the same procedure like waxing by using the strips.

Yeah, that wax its a crap! And unfortunately in drug stores you won't fine any better.Try to go at any beauty supply store and by a pot of hard wax.You can melted over the oven at very low heat, then check the temperature ( to not burn),than apply ,wait 1min,then pull it off, without any strip. And next time if you gonna apply the wax you used before, just put some oil on it ,not water!
