Can maggots live in your hair?

Today at school there was a piece of dried up silk drops in my hair and a girl seen it and said it was a maggot. I take a shower EVERY night because I love the feeling of being clean and my bed spreads are washed every week. Can maggots actually live in my hair? and wouldnt I feel them because they do get big? I'm just wondering because when I go to school tomorrow their all gonna start pointing fingers and talking about maggots in my hair, school sucks.

No, they can't, it might have been like dry skin because of washing your hair maybe the shampoo you use just dried out your skin, try a different shampoo.. and there is nothing wrong with showering everyday .. you are suppose to .. and washing your sheets ever week is also good.. you are suppose to do that as well if not more often so.. if they bug you or something either say that it was i don't know.. dry shampoo you missed or something.. or if you have a little sibling just say they gave you a hug and it may be a piece of food =P lmao.. I'd go with the dried shampoo.. but who knows even though you are clean it could still be lice.. ask you parents to check for you.. and if it is you will need to get a lice comb and special shampoo.. i'd stay away from school for a little while as well if it is lice.. you don't want to spred it around

no..they're not maggots. it's called lice. you really need to see a doctor and contact your school nurse about the problem..you need to get some hair treatments and the doctor/nurse will give you instructions to get rid of it and prevent it from happening again such as washing sheets with bleach, etc.

i hope it goes away soon..and dont worry..even the cleanest people can get head lice!

The dried up silk thing in your has was probably a nit. To get rid of lice you have to treat your hair with a special shampoo, you can get at any grocery store or drug store.
