I have found that glass straighteners work even better than ceramic....More importantly than the straightener, I've found, is the product in your hair prior to straightening. You need good product - I've done well at Sally's although prefer BedHead products most of all.

If you want ceramic, make sure it doesn't just have ceramic plates. A lot of the times cheap $20 dollar ones will say, "Ceramic Straigtener!" But they really aren't. They need to be totally ceramic to not damage your hair.

It comes in pink and lavender. I like it because it doesn't damage hair and make it look burnt like some metal straigteners do.

CHI is awesome. It is pricey though but if it doesnt matter to you (like spending over $100 unless you get a good deal) then go for it. A lot of people love CHI and their products and one year they were America's #1 straightener, I dont know if they still have that title this year.
