Bleaching hair help and advice?

i went to sally's and the worker helped me get developer and beach,(because im putting fire engine red in it) and my hair's naturally dark brown so i have to bleach it.

so i mix it and applyed it and it's been on my hair for about an hour.

i rinsed the end of a piece off and it barely changed colors and the woman said it should be about a dirty blonde color.

what should i do?

you have a dark hair color so you have to leave it in for a longer time.

perhaps you didn't distribute the bleach evenly throughout your hair, so maybe just that end isn't dirty blonde.

but it all depends on the volume of bleach you purchased as well. i hope to god you aren't using 40 volume. that can SERIOUSLY damage your scalp for leaving it on for that long.
