I have very short hair like a guy. What would be some nice ways to dress up or make my hair more formal. Please no vails or terrias? I don't like the fairy Phoo Phoo Stuff...If you could include an image or pic of the added piece or hairstyle that would be great too? What ideas do you have? Thank you in advance!

I also have short hair. Why not use hair pins with an elegant crystal or pearl on the end. If you have signed up on theknot.com, they have different hair ideas on there. Most are for longer hair, but if you have some time before the wedding, you don't need to grow your hair out much to be able to use a good number of these ideas.

I would go to our salon and ask them what would be good I have seen brides with short hair and they were beatuiful you may get a layered look or if your hair has a nice natural curl you may just get an updo. I am NOT a girly girl either and I dont like the fairy phoo phoo stuff either less is more.

I had long hair when I got married 14 years ago I did not put it up because that was not me I got my hair curled and I wore a bow with a viel in the back since I have thick way hair.

Being feminine does not have to mean being frilly and a girly girl:)

Back in the day when I had super short hair, I would use a light gel and put rows of twists in my hair fastened with butterfly clips (not necessarily butterflies, but the claw clips) I'm sure you could find gorgeous hair clips do with the same with pearls or crystals. If you aren't into hair clips at all, I'll try to find pics of just styles.

Other than that I know you said you do not like veils or tiaras or anything, but what about a white sheer chiffon bandana or scarf tied around like a 50's hairband, knotted at the nape of your neck? or a 20's hairstyle and headband?

The only other thing I could think of is maybe a hat with netting? (again i know you said no veil.. but this isn't like a church veil...) Some of the images are phoophoo, but think more chic.

A flower pin is a nice idea. There are also decorative combs you can try. You say you don't want a tiara but try it on. You never know until you see it on your head. It would look really cute with a short haircut.

What about a small, very thin head band. It sound kinda stupid in writing, but if you put it on, it probley will look good. And I know you said your not into all the phoo phoo stuff... But you could put a small flower on the side of the head band or something that you would like that is dressy. They make all different kinds of them. So I think that could work.
