She is silver all over, but on her left side there is a circle of black hair (about the size of a 50 cent piece). The fur there even has a different texture (slightly different) from ther rest of her fur. This has not been there all along. I really did not notice when it started, but it is definitely there now. Any ideas?

rignworm i'd guess. I have a white dog and he developed a spot of black on his face. It was round about the size of a dime. I thought he got bitten by something. When I took him to the vet they said it was ringworm.
